Why Did the Actress Gain Weight and How Did She Lose It?

What helped the actress lose weight was following a strict diet and working out under her trainer's supervision. She said she lost 35 pounds before she began shooting for the reality show, "Splash," which further helped her stay fit.
The mother of two had to perform dives during the show, which helped her lose weight and build muscles. "It did wonders for my body," she confessed while discussing the reality show.
Besides helping her lose weight, the 2013 reality show piqued her interest in sports, making her realize she "should have been an athlete."

Years later, Eggert shared a mirror selfie wearing a black shirt and no pants. Flaunting her toned legs in the photo, she shared that she does not "stress eat."
Recent photos of Eggert from outside her house in LA also showed her slim figure. She was seen cleaning her garage in a loose-fitted shirt and sweatpants paired with white sneakers. There were no signs of the distress she once went through after launching allegations against her former co-star, Scott Baio.
What Happened between Nicole Eggert and Scott Baio?
In 2018, Eggert made it to the news because of her claims regarding her former costar, Baio, who played "Charles" in their 1980s sitcom "Charles in Charge." The actress accused Baio of sexually abusing her during their time on the show.

Eggert claimed that she and Baio quickly became friends when they began shooting. She was 14 when the filming started and she alleged that Baio first touched her sexually when she was about to turn 15. Speaking about it on "Megyn Kelly Today," Eggert divulged:
"I was very young, and it was shocking. I had never experienced anything like that before, either."

According to the actress, her former co-star not only sexually abused her at his place, but even on the set of their sitcom. She said it happened "more than ten times" until she turned 16 and lost her virginity to him the following year.
In response to her allegations, Baio took to social media and declared Eggert was lying. He added that they did have sex, but it was consensual, and Eggert was 18.
Soon, the actress took the legal route. However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney refused to press charges against Baio due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

After the DA's decision, Baio took to his social media to address the issue, saying, "Nicole Eggert dedicated herself to destroying my reputation and harming my family, and she has failed."
He further added that Eggert had "harassed" the families his wife, Renee, had been helping through her charitable foundation. In April 2018, the actor shared how Eggert had allegedly "attacked" those people and said:
"There is no place for Nicole Eggert's malevolent hate, either online or elsewhere."
Baio also shared a YouTube video claiming Eggert's "story has completely changed" between 2013 and when she accused him of sexual abuse.
