Tabitha from 'Bewitched' Appears with Granddaughter at 59 after Raising 6 Sons as 'Committed' Mother

- While celebrating her granddaughter's graduation at 59, fans thought Erin looked more like the child's mother or sister than her grandmother.
Erin Murphy and her fraternal twin sister Diane Murphy, were only two years old when they joined the third season of "Bewitched" as Tabitha Stephens. Producers only auditioned twins because child labor laws limited the time kids could be on set.
Although both sisters auditioned and got the part, Erin was the one who had a liking for the onscreen attention. The actress did all the major scenes and the closeups, while Diane did the cutaways and long shots.

As an adult, Erin confessed that she loved acting from the time she was a baby. She revealed how she liked being on set while her sister would cry when they brought her in. Erin revealed that even though they were older, Diane still hated it.
Erin appeared in the series for six seasons from 1964 until 1972. Afterward, the actress appeared in many commercials and auditioned for roles alongside other child actors like Helen Hunt and Jodie Foster. However, she wasn't desperate and would turn down many roles,

At the time, her youngest child was 13, and she felt it was time to get back into acting in a more serious capacity. The previous year she did television projects and theater work in Los Angeles, citing the popularity of "Bewitched" for how she was well received.
She spoke about raising her children, saying, "It's a crazy but fun lifestyle." People asked if being a Mormon was why she had so many. The star shared how she grew up thinking "The Brady Bunch" was a great show and always wished for a big family since she only had one sibling.

Diane's sister initially envisioned having a boy and a girl and speculated that if she'd had the latter, she might've stopped at three or four children but regretted nothing. The actress also revealed that she'd done work with children's charities her whole life.
She became involved with projects concerning autism long before her autistic son, Parker, was born, and once he arrived, she put more effort into them. Erin spoke at events, volunteered, attended board meetings, and noted how essential it was for her to be present for other parents with questions.
In 2020, the celebrity still had three children living with her and was trying to decide what to do with the rest of her life. She wasn't sure if she wanted to continue working or focus on a few fun projects.

The mother of six didn't want to work for the rest of her life without enjoying herself. Erin said she hadn't had an acting agent for years despite continuing to act here and there yearly, but she mostly did theater work.
The child star had done web series as favors to friends before adding: "I'm committed to being a parent, and I've got three more years until my youngest graduates from high school." She confessed that Parker took most of her time, but she'd always loved and would love acting.
Another fan also thought Erin and her granddaughter were "beautiful."
The actress might acquire an agent again to manage all the "flattering" offers she received but has no complaints because life is good. When Erin isn't focused on her children, she celebrates her grandchildren.
