Joel Kim Booster's Boyfriend, John-Michael Sudsina, Are In a Non-Monogamous Relationship
When Joel Kim Booster met Sudsina, something changed significantly within the actor. Although he had some idea about romantic love from the media he consumed, meeting Sudsina made him "not want to be alone."

Their relationship style became apparent when they decided to be a couple. They were enjoying a Pride weekend in Palm Springs when they agreed to give each other space and agreed to go to different sex parties, though only Booster was the only one who admittedly had sex with another person that night.
Still, their non-monogamy is not only about sexual freedom. The two prioritize communication, especially regarding their sex life and even Booster's jokes about their relationship. Since it began, they have raved about one another frequently on social media.
In December 2021, Booster penned a lengthy, hilarious, and heartwarming tribute, wishing his love a happy birthday. Sudsina did the same the following March, adding a bit of poetry. The lovebirds have also featured each other in random appreciation posts and Valentine's Day tributes.
Joel Kim Booster's Sexuality: He Identifies as a Gay Man
Booster has often joked about knowing he was gay before knowing he was Asian. The Korean native was adopted by a white family and had a conservative upbringing. These circumstances had him constantly searching for a place to belong.
However, the intersectionality of his identity meant he couldn't fit neatly into any community, both in terms of ethnicity and his sexuality. Still, he figured out his sexual preferences. He also revealed his celebrity crush in July 2022, saying it was Keiynan Lonsdale.
Lonsdale is an openly gay actor and musician like Booster. Following "Fire Island," the latter Hollywood star appeared in the series "Loot" with Maya Rudolph, guest-starred in "American Dad" with Seth McFarlane and Patrick Stewart, and "Glamorous," with Kim Cattrall and Graham Parkhurst.
