Teyana Taylor's Brother's Death Left Her 'Broken' in 2022

Teyana Taylor was heartbroken when her brother Fleeroy PC Mason died in 2022. Before his death, he tracked his grievous cancer journey via his Facebook page, updating his followers on his health and suffering.

Although Teyana Taylor is a single child to her mother, she has half-siblings from her father's side, including her brother Fleeroy PC Mason. He had cancer for an extended period until he couldn't go on anymore.

The rapper, who mostly leaves her family out of the spotlight, showed she had a close relationship with her brother as they spent time together on different occasions. When he died, it was a tough blow to her.

Teyana Taylor Grieved the Loss of Her Brother

Teyana Taylor doesn't usually speak about her siblings and their relationships, but in 2022 she shared a post on Instagram of her deceased brother. In the caption, she wrote:

"I've been trying to process all of this. I can't, I am broken. A piece of me is gone that I will never get back in the flesh. I am not okay."

Her comment section was flooded with love and sympathy, with many sending their condolences and heart emojis. However, some fans were confused about who she referred to because of the rapper's private demeanor.

Teyana Taylor's Brother Was Also in the Music Scene

While his sister, her mother's only child, was on the mic, Mason was more of a promoter and had worked at Square Off Music Group since 2006. He also had four years of experience as a marketing director at Double Up Ent, a sales clerk and cashier at Laila Rowe for a year.

He also founded a full-service marketing & brand development firm. Additionally, he designed websites and graphics and enjoyed photography and art.

Fleeroy PC Mason Shared Heartbreaking Facebook Posts

While there is very little information on Mason's life, he had reportedly been battling cancer for nine months and had undergone multiple surgeries. Despite his pains, he sometimes used Facebook to update his friends on his health. In one of his posts on May 21, 2022, he wrote the following heartbreaking status:

"Lord I'm waiting on my chariot to calvary I'm so tired and thankful. I'm ready to go home."

His friends and family took to the comment section to encourage him to keep fighting as they would be praying for him. In another of his posts, he revealed how swollen he was, writing, "I don't care what you say, this morning I woke up so swollen that I don't even have a bellybutton. Count y'all blessings the body's capable of some crazy things. [sic]"

There were days when the rapper's brother wrote that he could not walk or place his feet on the ground. He also once compared his swollen feet to that of a tree trunk, revealing he could not sleep because of pain and also had swollen hips.

He last posted on his Facebook page on May 28, 2022. A few days later, Teyana Taylor revealed on her Instagram that she had lost her brother. While he may be her only biological brother known to fans, she once called Chris Brown her brother. She said:

"That's my brother for life, we best friends."

Even when people tried to create dating rumors between them, she remarked, "Chris is my brother. I've always said that." However, in 2023, she was at the center of an incident involving Brown and Usher Raymond, as it was revealed that the latter stepped in to defend her when Brown seemingly disrespected her.
