After sharing the devastating news of her breast cancer spreading to her brain, Shannen Doherty recently shared a post on Instagram where she seemed happy with her friends.

Dressed in olive green overalls, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress posed with her co-star, Brian Austin Green, and other friends. She posted the photos to celebrate Green's birthday on July 15, 2023.

"Happy birthday, B. I love you @brianaustingreen," Doherty captioned her post, which has since garnered over 141,000 likes and more than 1900 comments. In the photos, Doherty seemed happy and healthy despite her recent health issues.

However, this wasn't the only time Doherty's fans saw her after the news of her cancer surfaced. On July 17, the actress was seen exiting Nobu, the famous celebrity spot in Malibu, after enjoying the evening with her friends.

One of her female friends and a guard accompanied her as she walked toward her car after dinner. She was seen smiling and laughing during the short time outside the restaurant while the paparazzi took photos of her.

Shannen Revealed That Her Breast Cancer Had Spread to Her Brain

The "Charmed" actress first received a breast cancer diagnosis in 2015 but beat the life-changing health condition after a mastectomy and chemotherapy. In 2017, she revealed she was in remission, but her health condition didn't stay the same for long.

Her breast cancer returned in 2020, but she planned on hiding it from everyone. However, she soon told her fans about it and shared her cancer journey online to raise awareness and urge people to get checked.

Recently, the actress posted a heartbreaking update, revealing her cancer had spread to her brain. According to her Instagram post, the doctors learned about it on January 5, 2023.

In the video she posted on Instagram, the actress was seen in a hospital bed while the doctors ran a scan. A closer shot of her showed tears trickling down the side of her eye. "My fear is obvious," Doherty said in the post's caption.

"I am extremely claustrophobic, and there was a lot going on in my life," she added before thanking her doctors and the medical staff she interacted with. Despite receiving the best medical treatment, Doherty shared that she felt scared.

In another post, Doherty was seen in a hospital bed wearing a cap, mask, and gown. The video, filmed on January 16, the day she underwent surgery to remove the tumor in her head, showed the actress speaking to a medical professional.

"I am clearly trying to be brave, but I am petrified. The fear was overwhelming to me," Doherty shared her feelings in the post's caption, which has received over 214,000 likes.

Shannen's Divorce Is in Process

Before undergoing the surgery, Shannen was worried about the outcome. She thought about her mother and how the surgery would change her. She didn't want to lose herself in the process.

Besides experiencing some of the most challenging moments of her life because of her health condition this year, Doherty also faced some problems in her personal life. In April, the actress filed for divorce from her husband, Kurt Iswarienko.

The couple got married in October 2011, and their marriage lasted for 11 years. This was Doherty's third marriage, which lasted much longer than her previous ones.

"Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted," the actress's representative, Leslie Sloane, revealed when the news of the couple's divorce surfaced. According to Sloane, Doherty "felt she was left with no other option."

Recently spotted in a red blouse and a tan blazer, Doherty looked healthy and content after struggling with cancer, undergoing radiation treatments and surgeries, and parting ways with her husband.
