Madonna is blessed with a colorful career that spanned many decades. However, nothing can compare to her gratitude when she looks at her family.

The pop star, who recently had a health scare, shared an Instagram post featuring her grown-up son, David Banda.

In the picture, Madonna was seated behind David as she hugged him. Her post came a month after her hospital discharge. She said:

"As a Mother, you can really get caught up in the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving. But when the chips were down, my children really showed up for me."

Madonna saw her children step up while she was ill, which helped her stay strong. Indeed, her family and friends' love is, according to her, "the best medicine."

On June 24, Madonna developed a severe bacterial infection that needed medical attention in the hospital's intensive care unit. Due to her health issue, she had to focus on her recovery and stop touring.

A few weeks later, Madonna shared a health update on Instagram, revealing she was still in recovery. Her kids have been a source of strength and comfort during challenging times. Not long after her hospitalization, David visited her in her New York City apartment.

David sometimes appears on his mother's social media posts. Last year, the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" artist shared snippets of his disco-themed 17th birthday party. She also shared a video of her son dancing in their home, which made her happy and proud.

Madonna is a mom to six kids, including four adopted ones: Estere Ciccone, Stella Ciccone, David Banda, Lourdes Leon, Rocco Ritchie, and Mercy James.
