Jackie Beems Is Ric Flair’s Ex-wife Who Knew Nothing about Wrestling When They Met

Jackie Beems was completely unfamiliar with the wrestling world during her initial encounter with her ex-husband, Ric Flair. The celebrated wrestler said her lack of knowledge in wrestling is something he found appealing about her.

Jackie Beems and her ex-husband Ric Flair first crossed paths in 2004 at a steakhouse bar in Chicago; they were both committed to other people at the time. Beem reportedly knew nothing about wrestling, something which Ric found attractive.

It was only years later that the two started dating. This happened after Ric went through divorces with his second wife, Elizabeth Flair, and his third wife, Tiffany VanDenmark.

After being single and unhappy for three months, he entered into a relationship with Beems. Upon entering Ric's life, Beems brought about a positive transformation.

The wrestler said that her presence significantly impacted him, leading him to care deeply for her. He would even excuse himself from a group of friends to engage in private conversations with her.

Jackie Beems' Marriage with RIC Flair Had Ups and Downs

Nevertheless, Beems has encountered legal troubles on multiple occasions. In 2010, she faced arrest for reportedly assaulting Ric. As per the police report, Ric sustained minor injuries, but he declined any medical treatment.

Also, in 2013, Beems turned herself over to the authorities after she received an arrest warrant for allegedly making a harassing phone call.

Beems and Ric exchanged vows on November 11, 2009. However, their marriage came crumbing down when Jackie Beems filed for a divorce in 2012, accusing Ric of cheating. In the divorcee documents, Beems claimed Ric had several extramarital affairs. Additionally, she alleged that Ric had subjected her to cruel and harsh treatment.

Several months after Beems initiated divorce proceedings against Ric, his son Reid Fleihr tragically passed away at the age of 25 from a drug overdose. Reid's lifeless body was discovered in a hotel room. Reid had also ventured into the wrestling world, following in his father's footsteps.

After Jackie Beems divorced Ric Flair, she stayed out of the spotlight. Meanwhile, Ric found love again with Wendy Barlow. The pair tied the knot in a lavish wedding in 2018. The ceremony was held in a fancy hotel in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

In January 2022, fans were taken aback when Ric posted a statement on Instagram, announcing that he and Barlow had chosen to part ways. Despite having a wedding ceremony, Ric and Barlow disclosed in an interview that they were not legally married.

While Jackie Beems and Ric were married for a few years, they did not have any children. However, Ric has four children—Charlotte Flair, a celebrated female wrestler; David, Megan Fleihr, and Reid—from his previous marriages, with Reid having passed away.
