The little girl looked different from the rest of her family because her father, Kyle Chrisley, is White while her mother, Amber Johnson, is Black. The rest of the Chrisleys are all White, and Kyle is Todd's oldest son, which he had from his previous relationship.

Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, got full custody of their granddaughter in 2014, not long after Kyle suffered a mental breakdown and put his daughter at risk. Chloe's father was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and sometimes refused medication.

He's also struggled with substance abuse while Johnson's been arrested before. In December 2022, Todd revealed on his Chrisley Confessions podcast that Johnson wanted to gain custody of Chloe after he and Julie were convicted of several crimes.

The family patriarch found it ironic how Johnson only came forward now when she hasn't been in the little girl's life since 2015. The parent surrendered her parental rights in March 2017 before Todd and his wife legally adopted the child.

He said he and Julie will decide who Chloe's caregiver will be if and when the time came. However, the little girl's father refuses to publicly discuss who the caregiver will be because it is private, but the family will raise Kyle's child.

Despite being a little and innocent girl, being a reality star has exposed Chloe to social media trolls. Her significant difference from the rest of the family often makes her a target for hateful comments.

In 2020, Todd uploaded an Instagram photo of himself with his granddaughter, and on his podcast, he addressed something horrible they'd faced as a family - "Silent Racism..." Speaking to Chloe, then seven, discussed race issues, especially in light of the George Floyd protests.

Seeing the social media post, one person named Patti commented about not liking that Kyle didn't marry into his race because doing the opposite allegedly messed up children. Todd wrote back, saying he hoped God kept her for long until she saw that color didn't mess children up, but ignorance and hate will.

The girl shared a crying emoticon and revealed to Savannah, 25, how "sad" she was that Julie wouldn't be around for the holiday. In August 2023, Chloe's aunt showed how close she is to the child by sharing two Instagram photos, one showing her smiling while posing next to the little girl at her school.

The reality star revealed how happy and emotional she is that "Coco" was off to the fifth grade at a new school. Savannah noted how her niece has gone through lots of changes and has made progress despite it before saying how blessed she is for Chloe to be in a place where she could grow, love, and be accepted.

The second photo in the reel showed the little girl showing off her legs while posing on the lawn in a golf shirt, a plaid skirt, and Converse sneakers. Savannah's followers were thrilled to see the smiling and healthy child with one person writing:
