Despite close sources denying rumors of divorce and separation between the Royal couple, the public pondered why Meghan was seen without her engagement ring.

At the beginning of this month, Meghan celebrated her 42nd birthday with a trip to the cinema to watch the "Barbie" movie with friends. After the film, the birthday celebrations continued: Meghan and her friends dined outside at a restaurant and posed for a picture together.

The picture which got posted online showed Meghan between two friends, smiling at the camera. When people saw the picture, they noticed something missing from the 42-year-old's left hand: her engagement ring.

As the picture made its way through the public, questions arose about the status of Meghan and her husband's relationship. Of those people, Harry is allegedly one of them. According to an inside source:

"...Harry doesn't understand… He's confused and hurt."

Speculation about the couple supposedly going through a rough patch was further fueled by the fact that Harry was previously seen heading to a destination in Africa alone. Similarly, prior to his Africa trip, Meghan was seen taking a stroll in Montecito by herself, while her spouse went solo on a work trip to Asia earlier this month.

As Meghan walked the streets of Montecito, pictures showed her wearing an anti-stress patch on one of her wrists. However, another source claimed that the NuCalm product was unrelated to her feeling stressed.

Far from heading for divorce or separation, friends of the couple say they are very much still together.

Additionally, media outlets announced that Meghan will not join her husband in the UK next month for the annual WellChild charity event. Royal experts are already analyzing Meghan's decision to stay away and say that her choice shows that she may bear some animosity toward the country.

However, Meghan will meet up with Harry in Germany to attend his Invictus Games. The event will occur a few days after the WellChild charity event.

The gorgeous ring consists of a diamond from Botswana and two others courtesy of the late Princess Diana's jewelry collection. When speaking on the significance of the stones, the Duke of Sussex disclosed:

"The ring is yellow gold because that's [her] favorite, and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, and the little diamonds either side are from my mother's jewelry collection to make sure that she's with us on this—on this crazy journey together."
