Lainey Wilson on Protecting Her Love Ones from the Public Eye
Wilson plans to follow in Dolly Parton's footsteps by keeping at least some of her business to herself. She recalled a candid statement by the legendary artist addressing why she chose to protect her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, from the limelight.
"She said something about that one time she said, 'The reason I keep my husband private is because I felt like I needed to keep something for myself. I share a lot of my life and world with everybody, and I think it's OK to keep something for yourself,'" Wilson explained.
She admired Parton's ability to balance her professional and personal life and strove to do the same with a family of her own someday. In the meantime, she is enjoying the fruits of her career while using her gift to uplift children.
