George and Amal Clooney ‘Never Post Pictures’ of Their 6-Year-Old Twins — One Time We Saw Them
- George and Amal Clooney keep their kids away from the limelight and have not released photos of them ever since they were born.
- One media house once published photos of the couple's children, which they obtained illegally, and George threatened to sue them.
- Although the Hollywood star does not want the faces of his kids splattered all over, he often talks about them in interviews along with his wife.
Just like they do with their relationship, George and Amal Clooney lead private lives, especially when it concerns their two children. The actor even took a break from acting to devote most of his time to his beautiful wife.
In a November 2020 interview, George's longtime pal and producing partner, Grant Heslov, who has known him since the '80s, divulged how the A-list star's life had changed since he met Amal.
"I literally have never seen him happier," said Heslov at the time. George reportedly tends to talk so much about his spouse without being asked about her. He admitted during the interview how he felt about being a bachelor before meeting her:
"I was like, 'I'm never getting married. I'm not gonna have kids.'"
The movie star expressed that he was content with his life as an eligible bachelor before meeting his wife, Amal. Even his career was enough for him and he decided to focus on that because he was doing well.
George convinced himself that his life was complete because he had a fulfilling job and great friends. But he came to the full realization that it was the opposite, saying:
“[..] I didn't know how un-full it was until I met Amal. And then everything changed. And I was like, 'Oh, actually, this has been a huge empty space.'"
Marriage changed George's life; he admitted he had never been in a position where another person's life mattered more to him than his own. The addition of their kids also made a significant impact on him.
George previously stated that becoming a dad changed his perspective on life. He has become selfless and does not only look out for himself anymore, which he appreciates. "It's a wonderful thing. [...] We feel so lucky," said the Oscar winner.
The world-famous couple became first-time parents when they welcomed their twins on June 6, 2017, at London's St. Mary's Hospital. Their son Alexander is their eldest child, and their daughter Ella was born only two minutes after her brother. George and Amal's children were born six years ago, but they have kept them from the spotlight since.

The family patriarch is over-protective of his offspring, so much so that he threatened to sue a French magazine for publishing pictures of them several years ago. George released a statement in July 2017 revealing:
"Over the last week, photographers from Voici magazine scaled our fence, climbed our tree, and illegally took pictures of our infants inside our home."
The media publication published the images and claimed they were the first photos of Alexander and Ella. The magazine further stated people were eager to see the pictures.
Ever since George and Amal welcomed their son and daughter, they never publicly released their photos. The pair were at their home in Lake Como, Italy, when the pictures were taken.
Following the publication of the grainy images on the front cover of the magazine, George condemned the outlet and its employees, saying:
"Make no mistake, the photographers, the agency and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
George later escalated the matter by penning an open letter to the UK tabloid Daily Mail asking them and other media publications to stop publishing photos of his son and daughter for fear of "real-world consequences."
The filmmaker explained his wife's line of work as an international law and human rights lawyer puts his family at risk because she often "confronts" and puts terrorist groups on trial. Therefore, the couple must safeguard their kids' anonymity.
George further revealed he and Amal have never sold a photo of their children as they do not use social media. They "never post pictures" of them because doing that would put their lives in danger. The father of two acknowledged that as a public figure, he could handle "intrusive" pictures of him taken but that his children did not make such a commitment.
Although he has managed to keep them from the spotlight, the twins were once spotted with their mom when they were one year old.
In December 2018, Amal stepped out with the couple's children in a rare public appearance while leaving The Four Seasons hotel in Midtown with them in her arms. They wore denim jeans and Adidas sneakers while holding matching teddy bears.
That same year, an insider revealed both Alexander and Ella are the spitting image of their famous parents. "They're too beautiful, simply adorable," said the source. In 2017, George also admitted his kids have their mother's "eyes," adding, "Thank God!"

During a candid interview in 2020, George's son Alexander stepped into a room where his father was being interviewed, and the proud dad was reportedly delighted to see his child as he forgot the interviewer was in their presence.
At the time, the youngster was described as having "brown hair with chaotic teeth." His dad put him on his lap and started talking to him, paying no mind to the interviewer.
The "Ocean's Eleven" star once revealed that his son usually wakes up in the morning and goes on to bang on his bedroom door. When the star asked who it was, he would reply, "It is I, Alexander Clooney." Then, George would open the door, and Alexander would run in. The Golden Globe Award winner said he would burst out laughing out loud.
George further opened up about parenthood in December 2020, revealing he is teaching his children how to play pranks. He also reads to Alexander and his sister Ella, including books such as "Peppa Pig" and "Dr. Seuss."
The doting parent also once disclosed that during quarantine, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, he would cut his children's hair. In September 2022, he and the mother of his kids appeared on "CBS Mornings" and dished more on their offspring.
George revealed the couple taught their son and daughter Italian and French. Amal also divulged that the duo's first child, Alexander, is a "big prankster" who usually does pranks on his dad. The BAFTA Award winner proudly shared that his son is a Batman fan and that when he told him he once played the role, he responded, "Yeah, but not anymore."
As for his daughter Ella, the little one is said to be shy, unlike her brother. George stated it is interesting that although his kids are twins, they have different personalities. Alexander is even taller than his sister.
In a May 2019 interview, George shared that his children, barely two years old at the time, could count from one to twenty in English and Italian. He said they take after their mom.
The kids reportedly love painting, and their parents always provide them with an adventure, especially during the summer. In 2022, the family of four "spent the summer in Europe," said an insider.
In September 2023, a source divulged Ella and Alexander were having a blast spending the summer season with their parents. "They take boat rides, do water spots, have a small group of friends in the area their age they have playdates with," said the insider.
