Trick Daddy's Wife: The Rapper Does Not Mind His Estranged Wife Dating Other People
Rapper Trick Daddy is reportedly estranged from his wife for some time now. Despite their estrangement, the musician, who does not want a divorce yet, has allowed his wife to pursue an unconventional idea.
Since appearing on the reality show "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" (LHHM), rapper and reality star Trick Daddy has become increasingly transparent about his life, including his marriage to Joy Young.
While their marriage has hit a rough patch, with the possibility of divorce looming, Trick Daddy has even embraced a new concept, allowing his wife to explore dating other people.

Who Is Trick Daddy's Wife
Trick Daddy was married to Joy Young, a well-known star on the hit reality show "Love & Hip Hop: Miami." While they have been estranged for some time, their relationship has evolved into something unconventional nowadays.
Not much is known about when the couple got married, but it was revealed in 2018 that they were no longer together. In an "LHHM" episode that year, Joy said they were ignoring each other, leading her to realize that it was time to "end this relationship for good."
Adding a touch of humor, Trick Daddy playfully referred to Joy's prospective suitor as his "boyfriend-in-law."
What Is Known about Joy Young beside Her TV Fame
Joy's fame isn't limited to the entertainment industry; she has also made a significant mark in the business world. She owns New Roots Extensions, a custom hair extensions-making group that, according to its website, provides "all the tools for the ultimate diva experience."
Starting as a brand specializing in wigs, she has since ventured into the skincare world. Launched in 2021, her skincare line, Newroots Organics skincare, boasts a commitment to purity, with all products being 100% organic.
Trick Daddy Allowing His Wife to Date despite Their Marriage
The topic of the couple's divorce has come up twice. The first occurred in a 2019 episode of "LHHM" at their friend Trina's party. The second time was when Joy opened up about the issue in the "We In Miami" podcast in May 2023.
In the podcast, Joy, who first met Trick Daddy through Trina, said she wanted to divorce the rapper because she was "sick and tired of being sick and tired." Joy recalled her initial dislike of the rapper, citing his smoking habits and gold teeth as factors.

Aside from noting Trick Daddy's problematic behavior in the past, she also expressed worry about his health. During a 2020 episode of the show, she revealed that he had been living with lupus for a decade without seeing a doctor. She also said he had a "terrible diet."
Despite Joy's desire to end their marriage, Trick Daddy suggested in an interview on "The Breakfast Club" in July 2022 that if she genuinely wished to divorce him, she should refrain from using his name.
Although they are still married, Trick Daddy emphasized that he would not meddle in his estranged wife's life choices. However, he expressed a sense of responsibility for ensuring that her dating decisions were appropriate. He said:
"I leave her like that... I allow her to date, but now, I need to start evaluating the dudes..."

Adding a touch of humor, Trick Daddy playfully referred to Joy's prospective suitor as his "boyfriend-in-law," signaling his intention to keep a watchful eye on Joy's romantic relationships. The duo's relationship is just one example of the many unique relationships in Hollywood.
Although Trick Daddy and his wife have not filed for divorce, several celebrities, including Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lisa Bonet, Nick Cannon, Reese Witherspoon, and Idris Elba, have shared amicable relationships with their former partners.
