Jason Harvey Works in the Fashion Industry – Facts about Steve Harvey's Son

Jason Harvey is an Atlanta-based fashion designer who founded a company that supports black and brown designers trying to make it in the fashion world. Steve Harvey's son is also a family man who grew up in a blended household.

After marrying his wife, Marjorie Harvey, Steve Harvey welcomed her children from her previous marriage — including Jason Harvey — with open arms. As the talk show host revealed, he does not use the word "step" when referring to any of his kids.

Like many of his siblings, Jason Harvey has pursued a career in the creative sphere. He is also a loving husband and about to become a father for the fifth time in his ten-year marriage.

Jason Harvey Strives to Support Black and Brown Creatives through His Fashion Company

In 2022, Jason used his experience as a designer to found Worldly, a fashion house that aims to empower designers of color. During an interview, the soon-to-be father of five revealed that despite his last name, he still faces the harsh reality of navigating the world as a person of color.

As a result, he created Worldly, which offers up-and-coming black and brown designers resources that would otherwise be hard to come by, such as how to make money in the fashion industry. He said:

"I want to allow everybody to feel like they have a space where they can come in and freely create without anything that you would normally have to worry about. [...] We're providing an entire platform for them to be able to come forward and create the collection of their dreams stress-free, essentially."

Jason Harvey and His Wife Have Welcomed Four Children during Their Ten-Year Marriage

In 2013, Jason and his wife, Amanda Harvey, eloped on a hot air balloon, and in an Instagram in honor of their anniversary and his birthday, the model revealed that it was the best decision she had ever made.

"I have found freedom within my soul that I didn't even know existed until I embarked on this beautiful journey with you. I don't believe I would have found it as quickly as I did if you weren't by my side," Amanda added.

After marrying Steve, Marjorie came into the marriage with her children.

During their decade-long marriage, Jason and his wife have welcomed four children. The couple also had a "testing/challenging, transformational & BEST" year in 2022. In July 2023, Amanda turned to Instagram to share that their family of six would soon be one of seven.

"The Bible says be fruitful right? 😂Baby #5 is due in October 😆❤️🥰," Jason's wife humorously captioned a photo dump that featured her growing baby bump and family.

Jason Harvey Grew up in a Blended Family

Jason — who was yet to post anything on Instagram at the time of writing — is one of seven siblings. Steve and his first wife, Marcia, welcomed twin girls, Karli and Brandi, in August 1982, followed by a son, Broderick Harvey Jr., in April 1991.

The talk show host later fathered a second son, Wynton Brycelon Ali Harvey, on July 18, 1997, with his second wife, Mary Shackelford. After marrying Steve, Marjorie came into the marriage with her kids.

Her children are Morgan Hawthorne and Jason and Lori Harvey. "These are my sons, and these are my daughters. There are her (Marjorie) sons, and there are her daughter, and that's the way we operate," Steve said.
