Alice Zenobia Richmond Is Now a Teen

Alice Zenobia Richmond is the first child of "Saturday Night Live" comedian-writer Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond, a composer who also had ties to "SNL." Born in New York in September 2005, Alice is now approximately 18 years old.

As a child, Alice had the privilege of visiting her mother's workplace, thanks to her dad, Jeff. When she was only 23 months old, Jeff would bring Alice to visit her mother at work.

Jeff would bring little Alice to the set when her mom was involved in photoshoots for the show, ensuring that their family remained close even amidst their busy careers.

Alice is the older sister of Penelope Athena Richmond. Penelope, the couple's second daughter, was born in August 2011, filling the family with joy and excitement.

Because Alice is Tina's eldest daughter, the comedian once admitted to feeling apprehensive about allowing her to explore unfamiliar experiences. This led her to be stricter with Alice compared to her younger sister.

Alice's mom humorously likened the experience of having a teenage daughter to having an "office crush." She explained that she often finds herself thinking about her daughter more than her daughter thinks about her.

Additionally, Tina described feeling confused and nervous about approaching her daughter's door and inviting her to spend time together. She also felt like her daughter might be too busy for her.

Inside Alice's Creative Evolution

As a child, Alice had a memorable cameo in her mother's show, "30 Rock." She appeared on the show when her mother, Tina's character Liz Lemon, married James Marsden's Criss Chross.

In that episode, Alice portrayed a younger Liz Lemon in a flashback scene, reminiscing about her first wedding experience as a flower girl. At the time, Alice was just seven years old. Aside from "30 Rock," Alice also starred in "A One-Time Special."

Alice is a creative and imaginative young girl. At 14, during the quarantine period, she came up with a unique and entertaining idea. Tina shared this delightful story on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

Alice's idea was to organize themed dinners at home, and the family decided to give it a try. One memorable night, they hosted an airplane-themed dinner, turning their home into a makeshift aircraft.

What made this experience even more special was the effort they all put into it. It took time for the family to prepare, and Alice even helped her younger sister prepare for the evening. Alice's mom recalled:

"Alice was actually kind of helping her little sister get ready for it, and the little sister is just, like ,so pumped, when her big sister pays attention to her at all."

Alice's creative spirit extended beyond her personal life and also left its mark on the iconic lines of "30 Rock." In a 2011 interview, Tina revealed that Alice was the main source of many of Tracy Morgan's memorable lines on the show.

This creative collaboration was especially effective when Alice was younger, as her innocent and imaginative expressions seamlessly melded with Tracy's character.

Tina recalled moments when Alice's own words found their way into the script. For instance, Alice's phrase, "I want to go to there," became a humorous addition to Liz Lemon's lines.
