At first, the TV star's parents felt uncertain about their daughter's choice to enter a profession in the industry. However, with time, they came around to support her and realized that it was the right decision for her.

Kaitlyn Dever enjoyed a remarkable upbringing shaped by her parents, Kathy and Tim Dever, who were former figure skaters. Even when their daughter was just a baby, they introduced her to the world of skating.

The actress became a figure skater under their guidance but eventually decided to explore other passions. As time passed, her parents transitioned into coaching figure skating in Phoenix.

Tim's career took an interesting turn when he became the voice behind Barney, the beloved purple dinosaur, and later the character Bob the Builder. Tim's voice acting career took him to Dallas, where he flew in with his family.

In Dallas, their daughter's enthusiasm for acting flourished, prompting her to beg her parents to enroll her in acting classes. Impersonating a character was her forte as a kid. She added:

"When I see a person on TV, within three minutes, I can do all their mannerisms and their voice. Acting has always come naturally to me."

When the TV actress and her sisters were little, Kathy was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.

Initially, Kathy agreed to take her to Los Angeles to dissuade her from pursuing acting. However, as fate would have it, their daughter's acting career soared to new heights, prompting the entire family to relocate to L.A. due to her growing success in the industry.

Among the actress's remarkable achievements was her role in "Men, Women & Children," a comedy film that boasted an ensemble cast including esteemed actors like Emma Thompson, Adam Sandler, and Jennifer Garner.

Additionally, Kathy and Tim's oldest daughter also gained fame in the hit film "Booksmart" together with Beanie Feldstein, Molly Gordon, Jason Sudeikis, and Billie Lourd.
