Michael has been reliant on a walking stick for support since undergoing surgery on his back in 2022. The Oscar Award winner has been publicly using a cane since 2018 after falling on ice that left him with a broken ankle. In early 2023, he explained during an interview:
"I have a spine problem which affects my leg, so I can't walk very well."

Another person stated, "Great for him. A strong guy with his acting career." Many others agreed that he was a great actor and wished him the best.
Michael has teased retirement throughout the years. In 1968, he reportedly divulged that he would retire at age 45, settle at a farmhouse, and start a family.
Several years later, in 2015, he hinted that he had retired, but interestingly, he went on to make ten more movies. In a recent interview, he expressed:
"But I wasn't 90 then. I am bloody 90 now, and I can't walk properly and all that. I sort of am retired now. Anyway…”

When asked about the best thing about his age, the "Batman Begins" star answered, "The best thing about being 90 is that nobody expects you to do very much, and people do things for you."
It has been the case for most of his life, and he stated the worst thing about it is that a lot disappears from one's life, and "you gradually realize you're approaching death."

Asked if he fears dying, Michael said no, adding that he knows everyone would die, too. He acknowledged that he might pass away soon but was not fazed. "I'm quite happy," said the Hollywood star.
Michael further stated he has two kids, three grandkids, and a spouse, adding if the book he wrote becomes a success, the money it makes will go to them. His eldest child is Nikki, real name Dominique, whom he shares with his first wife, actress Patricia Haines.
Natasha is Michael's youngest child from his second union with Shakira. His grandchildren include 12-year-old twins Allegra and Miles and 13-year-old grandson Taylor.

"I've had the best possible life I could have thought of. The best possible wife and the best possible family," said the doting father of two.
Michael and Shakira have been married for 50 years, and he's described her as "one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen." He first laid eyes on her in 1972 while watching a commercial she featured in for Brazilian coffee.

Michael thought his future spouse was in Brazil and wanted to go there to find her, but he learned she was Indian and lived just down the road in London. He knew right then that he wanted to marry her.
He called her several times to go out with her, but she was reluctant. The former model eventually caved as she found him attractive. She revealed in a recent interview with him that he made her laugh. The couple celebrated Michael's 40th birthday in Las Vegas and wed in January 1973.
