In 2012, Ilya's famous wife parted ways after a two-year marriage, and the latter initiated the divorce proceedings, citing irreconcilable differences. She also requested spousal support. Ilya's wife said in a statement:

Little is known why the pair parted ways, but the split came as a complete surprise. A year before that, the pair had been discussing the possibility of joining the cast of the second season of the Bravo reality television show "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" (RHOBH).

Ilya's extensive career in the business and pharmaceutical sector has seen him in pivotal roles at various organizations. He has been the Director of Business Development at Unipharm since 1999.

Founded in 1992, the New York-based company aims to deliver high-quality pharmaceuticals and supplements to Eurasian markets. He has also been the vice president of Sequoia Laboratories LLC since May 2013.

Before assuming the executive roles, Ilya gained valuable experience as a research scientist at the National Physical Laboratory, where he worked from June 2003 to June 2004. He graduated from Northeastern University.

A few years after his split from Courtney, Ilya announced on Facebook in 2018 that he had tied the knot with Alena Sapritsky. Alena has a professional connection with Ilya; she works at Unipharm.
