Aside from his incredibly successful professional life, the "Now You See Me" star is a loving father of four: Alfonso, Saifoulaye, Morgana, and Deena Freeman. His eldest son, Alfonso, was born in 1959; his second eldest, Saifoulaye, was born a year later; Morgana was born in 1967, and he adopted his ex-wife's daughter, Deena, when he married her mom.

As a dad, Morgan has been very open and honest about the challenges he has faced in the past, especially where the balance between being a devoted father and a career man is concerned. In a previous interview, while speaking on fatherhood, the icon admitted:
"I'm not sure fatherhood changed me...It took a while for me to become a father. I was busy trying to be an actor, and the two didn't really go together in my youth..."

Of Morgan's two sons, Saifoulaye tends to live a low-key life away from the spotlight. According to a news outlet that published an article about his famous dad, Saifoulaye resides in Michigan and is a stay-at-home dad. On the other hand, Alfonso followed in his father's footsteps and pursued a career in the entertainment industry.

Like Father, Like Son
Before making a name for himself in television and film, Alfonso was an Art Major at Cal State University in Long Beach. However, he went on to graduate with a Psychology degree from El Camino College, and it was not until 1993 that he got his start in acting.
Interestingly, Alfonso's first role was in one of his father's most famous movies, "The Shawshank Redemption." He scored the part of the Fresh Fish Con in the 90s after meeting his father in person for the first time in 1984 at 24 years old, when Morgan was in Los Angeles, filming a mini-series. The two first met over the phone when Alfonso was 19.

Something else worth noting is the fact that Alfonso posed as his dad's character for the character's mugshot. On the film's 25th anniversary, some of the cast and film producers participated in a panel hosted to discuss the movie.
The father, who fans say looks younger than his kids, previously admitted to his struggle between balancing being an actor and a dad.
Alfonso was present, and he recounted his excitement about doing his first production and being on set for the first time. He expressed his eagerness to please and impress the director and everyone involved with the film. During the discussion, Alfonso also quipped:
"...I felt so good about myself. I thought I may have a great career after that!..."
As fate would have it, Alfonso did wind up with a great career following his film debut. Since "The Shawshank Redemption," he has racked up numerous acting credits in film, television, stage, commercials, and even voiceover work.

From their appearances in movies together to the endearing family pictures that Morgan has posted, Alfonso and his dad have been seen together a number of times. One such family affair occasion was in 2018 when the film legend was honored for his incredible achievements throughout his career at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards.
Morgan received the Lifetime Achievement award after an over five-decade-long career in show business. In addition to the award recognizing his acting pursuits, Morgan's humanitarian initiatives were also revered.

Fans marveled at a picture Morgan had shared of Alfonso and his daughters during the awards night. Apart from praising him and his family, calling his daughters beautiful, many noted how Morgan's son looked so much like him. One referred to Alfonso as his "twin." Of the uncanny resemblance between the duo, another fan stated:
"Alfonso is a bald version of you, he's your son alright ..."

As a hugely successful actor and all-around show business icon, Morgan's schedule has been and is considerably busy. He previously admitted to struggling between balancing being an actor and a dad. However, when he became a grandfather, he spoke about being a good grandad to his fourteen grandchildren.
In a past interview, Morgan discussed his intention to remain committed to the craft of acting, with no foreseeable plans to stop. And while he recognizes that it "took a while" for him to be a father to his children, he disclosed that he is "a great grandfather," adding, "I’m not a hands-on grandfather.
