Renee Suran Is Still Active as an Actress – Slash’s Ex-wife’s Life Now
Renee Suran was Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash's first wife. The pair wed in the 1990s, but their marriage only lasted a few years. She moved on and continued her career as a model and actress.
Renee Suran drew her first breath in Los Angeles County, California, on December 6, 1964. Her journey into the entertainment industry began in the early 1980s when she joined the modeling scene.
Suran did quite well for herself, booking national and international modeling campaigns and commercials. She naturally progressed into acting shortly after the end of her marriage to rock guitarist Slash.

Renee Suran's Career Progression
Suran was 16 when she started receiving suggestions to get into modeling. Following her 17th birthday, she decided to try it, and things took off pretty quickly. She entered a bikini contest, won, and attended an alternative band's party on a boat sometime after.
There, she met a photographer who offered to take pictures of her. In no time, the photographer had Suran signed to Elite Model Management, and the rest was history. Her time as a model afforded her the luxury of traveling around the US and the world before leaving the agency in 1998.
By then, Suran had already guest-starred in a few TV productions. She appeared in the 1997 Howard Stern autobiographical comedy "Private Parts," which also starred Paul Giamatti and Allison Janney.
That year, she played a minor role in the "Baywatch" crime series opposite David Hasselhoff and Eddie Cibrian, and a lengthy hiatus from TV and film followed until the early 2010s.
Her online resume indicates that she graduated from Los Angeles Valley College with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities. Although it doesn't reveal the year she graduated, Suran wrote that she appeared on the Dean's list "several semesters in a row."

Renee Suran's Return to Acting
Suran returned to acting in 2013. She was cast as Hedy in the drama web series "Broken at Love," appearing in a few episodes between 2013 and 2021. In 2014, she starred in several short films, including "The Struggle," "Circle of Love," and "Predetermined."
Apart from "Broken at Love" and these short films, no other roles were documented until 2020, when she joined the main cast of the podcast series "Forever and a Day." The show aired four seasons between that year and 2023. In addition to her work, Suran also volunteers at several animal welfare facilities and Food Forward.

Renee Suran's Relationship with Slash
Suran married Slash in 1992, but the former couple divorced in 1997. The reason for their separation is unknown, as the pair kept their relationship private; however, in 2007, Slash admitted to cheating on Suran the night before their wedding.
Additionally, the musician had an ongoing affair with Perla Ferrar during their marriage and eventually wed his mistress. Sometime after his divorce from Suran, she went on a date with Sumner Redstone. The businessman was said to be head-over-heels with Suran, but she didn't feel the same.
