Pablo Escobar's Son Has Not Shied Away from the Spotlight - He Is a Peace Ambassador
Pablo Escobar came from a humble background but went down in history as one of the most powerful and well-known criminals. Despite Pablo's legacy, he was a family man survived by his wife and two children.
Pablo Escobar, born on December 1, 1949, in Rio Negro, Colombia became a notorious drug lord. His father worked as a farmer, and his mother was a teacher. When Pablo was just one year old, his parents moved to Envigado, a suburb of Medellin, where he grew up and completed his high school education.
Pablo's involvement in a life of crime commenced when he worked with a stereo equipment smuggler. However, his initial encounter with the law occurred in 1974 when he was arrested for car theft. Subsequently, he transitioned into the drug trade, and by 1976, he had established himself as a prominent drug dealer with a fleet of airplanes.

Pablo’s Family Changed Their Names
Despite multiple arrests, Pablo frequently found himself out of prison. However, law enforcement finally caught up with him in December 1993 when he was shot to death.
While he lived a criminal life, Pablo had a family, and he was devoted to his wife and two children, daughter Manuela Escobar and son Juan Pablo Escobar. At the time of his death, his daughter was five, and his son was 16.
Sebastián was the subject of a 2009 documentary called "Sins of My Father," where he candidly opened up about the impact his father's actions had on his life.
A few days before meeting his untimely death, Pablo's wife and children flew to Germany seeking political asylum but were turned away. They were forcefully returned to Colombia and placed under army protection.
The family finally settled in Argentina, but due to security reasons and wanting to distance themselves from the stigma of the Escobar surname, they changed their first and last names.
