Garner Dishes on Hair Preferences & Regrettable Hair Moments
Garner divulged how she cares for her hair in a September 2023 interview. Firstly, she commented on hair trends nowadays, comparing it to hair back in the day, saying:
"I really loved the look of hair in the '40s. [The '40s] was such a rich time in beauty, if you think about a deep matte red lip and the big, cool finger curls. Let's bring that back."
The movie star is known for her signature brunette hair color with subtle blonde highlights and medium-to-long hair. However, she ditched her look for a trendy 2023 haircut: the bob.
Garner admitted she believed she was being "original" by cutting her locks but realized everyone was also doing so. Regardless, she had "fun" chopping her tresses off and seeing fellow public figures doing the same.
As for how she cares for her hair, the 51-year-old revealed she "never" uses her blow dryer on her own. The mother of three stressed the importance of "healthy" looking hair, adding:
"If your hair is healthy, it'll be shiny, it'll have volume, it'll be buoyant."
Asked what her biggest hair regret is, Garner revealed that she has had "regrettable moments on the red carpet." This was when she was younger, as she did not feel more like herself.
The Golden Globe Award winner had one of those moments when she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022. She had her dark hair in a low bun on one side, and although she was happy with the hairstyle, Garner admitted, "It just wasn't me."
In a June interview, the "Peppermint" star divulged that she would now grow her hair. Garner, a mom of two daughters, Violet and Seraphina, and an only son, Samuel Affleck, said that short hair is only "fun" the day it is cut.
However, with a long mane, the Emmy Award nominee explained that there are several hairstyles that she can try out, such as tying her hair in a bun atop her head.
