Iggy Azalea's Husband: The Rapper Was Sued for Divorce & Has Been Single since 2020

Iggy Azalea faced rumors that she had a husband after reports that one of her former partners filed for divorce under a Texas common law. The rapper was also engaged to Nick Young, but their relationship ended following allegations of infidelity.

In 2014, a mystery man made headlines following allegations that he was Iggy Azalea's husband and seeking a divorce. The shocking news came a year before Iggy Azalea and former NBA player Nick Young got engaged.

Iggy Azalea and her almost-husband had a rocky relationship, with the rapper revealing she burned the NBA player's clothes. In the end, the former couple never made it to the altar.

A Doctor Claimed Iggy Azalea Introduced Her Ex as Her Husband

In 2014, reports emerged that a doctor at a medical clinic Iggy Azalea, and her ex, Hefe Wine, who also goes by Maurice Williams, visited while they were together, claimed that the rapper introduced Williams as her husband.

Iggy Azalea and Williams' relationship reportedly lasted from 2008 until 2013. Texas law states that "a man and a woman who live together for any length of time are considered legally married if they agree to be married and hold themselves out as husband and wife."

Earlier this year, Iggy Azalea joined Emily Ratajkowski on her podcast and shared that she has been single since early 2020.

Iggy Azalea's representative later came out and denied that the rapper was ever Williams' wife or that she ever agreed to marriage. The saga saw the exes battle it out in court as Williams requested half of the rights to the music Iggy Azalea wrote during their relationship — music which, reports state, was worth millions.

Nick Young Was Set to Become Iggy Izalea's Husband

Following the end of her and Williams' relationship, Iggy Azalea found love again with former NBA player Nick Young. In June 2015, a video shared on social media captured the moment Young got on one knee to ask Iggy Azalea to marry him, with the basketball player stating that he wanted to share the rest of his life with the rapper.

However, the love birds parted ways two years later, with Iggy Azalea taking to Twitter to share the cause behind the breakup. Iggy Azalea and Young's split came around the time of reports that he had gotten the mother of his child pregnant again.

In since-deleted tweets, the rapper shared that Young had never told her the mother of his child was expecting again, so if it were true, it was news to her. Iggy Azalea revealed she had left the former Lakers star because she had caught him bringing other women to their home while she was away.

During an appearance on "Bravocon Live with Andy Cohen Takeover," Iggy Azalea revealed to a cheering crowd that she had set fire to Young's belongings following their split, adding:

"I text him a video, and I was like [...] 'Hey, I'm burning your things, and so I don't know where you're at. Probably with some girl, so I hope you get home quickly because I'm moving on. We're progressing on the spectrum of cheap to expensive.'"

Iggy Azalea on Her Break from the Dating Scene

Earlier this year, Iggy Azalea joined Emily Ratajkowski on her podcast and shared that she has been single since early 2020. The rapper has become a mother since her relationship with Young ended but parted ways with the father of her child three weeks after giving birth.

The "Fancy" singer revealed she had dipped her toes in the dating pool in 2022 but had since taken a break from romance. "I've just been so focused on what I'm doing," Iggy Azalea said.
