Chyna Tahjere Griffin's Stage Name Was Inspired by Beyoncé and More

Since cementing herself as a musician, Chyna decided to use part of her middle name as her moniker. During an interview, Faith Evans' daughter revealed she was fond of the uniqueness of Tahjere — which she shorted to Tahj — and liked the idea of having a one-word stage name, like Beyoncé, Madonna, and Rihanna. Chyna revealed:

"My middle name is Tahjere and when trying to find myself as an artist, that was like the first name I could think of — Tahjere — because I thought it stood out. [...] But one day somebody started calling me Tahjere the Great [...] and I shortened it to Tahj the Great just because it flows a little better."

Chyna was just shy of 40,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing, where she often posted snippets of her music, showcasing her talent and diversity as a singer and rapper.
