Kourtney Kardashian's Husband Causes Uproar on Her Birthday: 'Disgusting'

"Blink-182" star Travis Barker recently took to Instagram to post a birthday tribute to his beloved wife Kourtney Kardashian. Although the post was filled with love and humor, social media users were unimpressed with what he shared.

TV star Kourtney Kardashian just celebrated her 45th birthday and received a heartwarming dedication post from her husband, Travis Barker. The rock star shared an Instagram carousel of images of her, the last of which ruffled the public's feathers.

Travis' pictures showed blissful familial moments from the Kardashian-Barker family. One depicted the happy couple enjoying a relaxing day on a boat.

Another gave followers an intimate glimpse into their life with their baby son, Rocky Thirteen Barker, who was born late last year.

Additional pictures showed Kourtney with her other kids, Reign, Penelope, and Mason Disick, whom she shares with her ex, Scott Disick. Other images included Kourtney in bed at home.

"Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife, soulmate and best friend forever. I love you, I love our life together. Thank you for being the most amazing wife a person could ask for. Here's to many more years of adventures together ❤️‍🔥," captioned Travis.

The last image—which caused a stir on online platforms—revealed the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" talent, dressed to the nines, squatting over a toilet.

Many were disgusted by this photo and took to the comment section of the post to express their disdain. "Last photo was unnecessary and disgusting 🤮," wrote one user.

In response, another commented, "Yes, distinct lack of judgment there!" Another unimpressed person said, "The last picture [made] me unlike the post…I don't understand some things."

"What is the last picture? It was going so well. Oh my 💀," pondered a social media user, while another quipped, "This is soooo a husband post. Lmao. 🤣."

A "Blink-182" fan stated, "Telling 13 year old me the drummer of blink 182 would post a pic of a kardashian taking a [...] is the equivalent of giving a Victorian child a Doctor Pepper.."

However, amid the vitriol harbored toward the picture, someone came to the couple's defense. Making light of the situation, this fan praised, "Everyone's concerned about the last pic but honestly I’m impressed [with] the gracefulness of the squat 👏🏼😂."

Despite the strong reactions to the picture, it was posted in good fun. This is also not the first time that Travis has shared a post intended to highlight a humorous moment featuring Kourtney.

On Valentine's Day, the famous drummer posted a loving tribute to his significant other which featured an array of endearing photos.

The last image in this carousel of pictures showed Travis lying in bed with Kourtney's feet pressed up against his face, as he held onto her legs. His heartwarming caption read: "Happy Valentine's Day my beautiful wife 🖤."

Apart from special birthday messages and holiday celebrations, Travis and Kourtney have long affirmed their love for one another.

The two have gushed over each other in various instances, like the time when Travis divulged details about the pair's relationship in a past interview.

According to a media outlet's video, Travis spoke with Drew Barrymore, on "The Drew Barrymore Show," about the reasons why his and Kourtney's relationship work.

"It just comes natural. It’s like a maturity thing," explained Travis. He went on to disclose how having children makes their bond easy, as he revealed that dating people who don't have kids was a struggle for him in the past.

In addition to Kourtney's three kids and their shared son, Rocky, the couple are also parents to Travis' children, Atiana de la Hoya (his stepdaughter), Landon, and Alabama Barker.

While speaking about his children on the show, Travis commended Kourtney’s maternal skills. He then divulged another aspect of their relationship that adds to its success. The artist described how having moments of missing each other when they are apart adds to keeping their spark alive.

"I also really like missing someone and cherishing the time that I spend with them instead of, you know, every day being with them or—especially in the beginning of the relationship, I think, like, missing someone is so important," stated Travis.

Another thing he relished was the sweet love note Kourtney had given him which he shared on his since-expired Instagram Story a few years ago. The note detailed Kourtney's desire to create more adventures with him and was signed with love.

Through confirmation from a source, reports stipulate that the married couple began dating after sharing an initially platonic relationship for years.

One thing led to another and the duo ended up going Instagram official in February of 2021. They posted a photo of them holding hands.

Similar to how her beloved husband has spoken about details concerning their relationship, Kourtney has also shared some words about her and Travis.

While she was still pregnant with their baby boy, the Poosh founder provided some context to the beginning of their relationship.

Sitting down for a cover profile with Vanity Fair in October last year, Kourtney was asked about how she and Travis made the transition from being friends to lovers.

"Really, we always knew we were more than friends. And those around us knew it too: everyone always told us that we were meant to be together," Kourtney expressed.

She went on to list the people she said always had an inkling that the two would end up together. This list included her two sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian. She also mentioned rap mogul Kanye West.

Finishing off her statement, Kourtney Kardashian continued, "Travis himself said it, but I kept him at a distance for a long time, even though during the pandemic we spent a lot of time together, us with our children."

The TV personality and doting mother also mentioned how both she and Travis knew they would go on to become an item. However, she also revealed how fear played a factor in their romantic pursuit of each other, at first.

Nonetheless, the couple did not let fear deter them from finding marital bliss. Despite the criticism of some, Kourtney and Travis continue to remain happy in love.
