Reese Witherspoon shares rare photo with son celebrating her 42nd birthday

The brithday girl strikes a pose as she prepares to blow out her birthday candles with her little boy.

She turned 42 on March 22 and Reese Witherspoon was in the sweetest mood that day sharing a photo of herself with her 5-year-old son Tennessee and her beautiful birthday cake with star shaped candles in full display.

The birthday girl was in high spirits when she invited her followers to a sugary breakfast in her caption.

“Cake for breakfast, anyone? Thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes! Feeling so much love today! I’m one lucky gal.”

Dressed in a navy blue dress with lace trim courtesy of her company Draper James, the actress glowed as she covered her smiling mouth with one hand and struck a pose with her legs crossed. She wore a pair of hot pink heels to match her pink birthday hat as she stood beside her son she shares with her husband Jim Toth. The adorable boy was also smartly dressed in a blue and white plaid shirt and jeans and he appeared to be poised to blow out his mother’s birthday candles.

Among the many celebrities who greeted the friendly star, Jennifer Garner put on quite a show for her, as reported by People. In full marching band regalia, the actress shared a video serenading her girl friend with a ‘Happy Birthday’ son while playing the saxophone.

In her caption, she wrote,

“Hey, @reesewitherspoon! I don’t know why you’re on my mind today…..#happybirthdayfriend”

A year ago, Reese celebrated Jennifer’s 45th birthday with a group of friends in Malibu and she also wished her a happy birthday on her Instagram.

“Here’s lookin’ at you, Jen! Happy Birthday to my gorgeous friend #JenniferGarner who always laughs at my jokes and my bad dance moves!”

The two pals clearly have a soft spot for each other and birthdays never go unnoticed between them.
