Famous British TV personality's son is suddenly hospitalized 4 years after brain surgery
The 57-year-old Roma Downey shared a series of posts about her step son's recent hospitalization and his recovery.
Cameron Burnett is the 20-year-old son of Matt Burnett and his former wife, Dianna. He underwent brain surgery in 2014. Details of his condition have not yet been shared with the public.
As reported by Pop Culture, Cameron was back home with Matt and Roma, where they hope to 'restore him back to perfect health.'
His parents released a statement wherein they thanked their family, friends, and fans for all the prayers and support. They also praised the UCLA for the amazing care he received.
Cameron's mother shared an update with her Instagram followers as well. She used the hashtags 'pray,' 'heal,' 'Godspeed,' and 'family first.'
She thanked God for watching over her angel, and ended the message with 'life is a precious gift.' She also shared a photo of her son and Mark in his UCLA hospital room.
On March 25, 2018, Roma thanked her fans 'from the bottom of [her] heart.' She asked that her fans 'please keep those prayers coming.'
According to People, Cameron was a student at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, and he can already boast with directing several short films.
One of his projects, titled The Bench, was screened at more than 35 film festivals and won first place at eight. His second film, Alibi, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Corner.
Cameron also directed the short films, The Janitor and Wild Wild West. He wrote and directed all four features. Earlier this year he announced that he would produce the 2019 film, Jake Stevens: The Last Protector.
He follows in the footsteps of his father, who has produced award-winning shows like The Apprentice, Survivor, The Voice and Shark Tank.
