Garth Brooks stops a concert after seeing a woman's sign in the crowd
It is a dream to see one’s favorite singer or band live in concert. For some, nothing can come in their way of living their dream.
Happiest reported an interesting encounter between Garth Brooks and one of his die-hard fans during his concert at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Music lovers spend days and months counting down the days until their idols’ biggest shows. Sometimes, getting sick and not being able to attend it is really heartbreaking.
There was one woman who attended a Garth Brooks concert and made people think twice if they are struggling with a cold or feeling a little under the weather and are unable to attend a concert.
Theresa Shaw is a dedicated and loyal fan who simply could not pass on the opportunity of seeing her favorite star performing live.
She attended his concert when he performed in Minneapolis but not before going through a chemotherapy session earlier in the day. Shaw was battling stage 3 breast cancer.
She held up a sign which read, ‘Chemo this morning, Garth tonight enjoying the dance.’
What makes the evening worthy of a mention and worth cherishing for the rest of Shaw’s life is the fact that Brooks himself noticed the sign.
He then quickly stepped off the stage to meet her and continued his performance directly to her. If that was not enough, he even gave her his guitar.
The amazing video was uploaded on YouTube and has garnered over 3,673,000 views so far. Brooks himself was visibly emotional after singing the song for her.
What makes the story even more emotional is that Shaw was given the all clear and was completely cured of her cancer.
She then went on to attend another one of Brooks’ concerts and took a sign saying she was victorious in her fight against the disease and was ‘still enjoying the dance!’
