Kelly Ripa is allegedly done with Ryan Seacrest and wants him out, decided on his replacement

She has been a part of the show for so many years and has the power to decide who she would like to work with.

As reported in an article published by Closer Weekly, Kelly Ripa was considering replacing Ryan Seacrest as her co-host on Live! way before the sexual allegations against him made rounds in the media.

Many times TV stars have to suppress their differences with their co-stars but Ripa has the upper hand. After the allegations came to light, Ripa has been thinking to act on her choice for a new co-host on her chat show.

According to an insider, Ripa has chosen the person who would replace Seacrest. It is the same person who followers thought would join Ripa last year on the show before Seacrest's involvement was announced.

Jerry O'Connell may be the next co-star on Live!. Although Ripa did not disclose it officially, she and O'Connell appeared on The Wendy Williams Show when O'Connell filled in for Williams who was on medical leave.

Ripa was a guest on the episode and the two stars seemed to enjoy their 14-minute segment on screen. Ripa also complimented O'Connell and said to him that he really made the best out of the gig.

This wasn't the first time that Ripa and O'Connell were seen together on screen. He made quite a few appearances on Live! and was a crowd favorite whenever he joined in.

O'Connell is married to Rebecca Romjin for the last ten years and the couple has nine-year-old twin daughters. The celebrity has the charm and an impeccable image that would suit the job of being Ripa's co-host.

Another important aspect that the network can enjoy is that O'Connell will be very less pricey compared to a mogul like Seacrest.

He would also be available to help in the production process of the show as he has fewer projects than Seacrest.
