Nikki Bella and John Cena end their engagement and split after 6 years together
Love isn't easy and maintaining a relationship can be a challenge of epic proportions. Even though people love each other, they might find it hard to be together.
John Cena, the famous WWE wrestler, and Nikki Bella, also a Diva at Vincent McMahon's powerful company, had been together since 2012.
But now, in 2018, and just one year after announcing that they were going to get married, the couple decided to break up, which might have shocked some fans, as reported by US Weekly.
It seems like a sad ending for the couple. Cena and Bella were six years together, and quite happy ones as well as, both of them have confirmed on numerous occasions.
But the stress of being away from each other for so long and the constant pressure of having to cave in to each other's wishes eventually took a toll on their plans.
According to the source, 40-year-old Cena proposed to the 34-year-old last year during Wrestlemania 33 in front of millions of people watching live and through pay-per-view.
The last time that they were seen in public together was on April 8, at Wrestlemania 34. The relationship wasn't on good terms even then because almost a week later, on April 16, Cena took to Instagram to post a very meaningful photo.
It depicted a quote by Walt Whitman: 'We were together. I forget the rest.' Fans took the post as a sign that their relationship was officially over, but not knowing anything other than that.
As reported by US Weekly, during an interview, Cena confessed that relationships weren't easy, and advised anyone believing that they were to think otherwise.
He said that he and Bella worked every day on themselves and that not every issue could be solved. Plus, he admitted that he loved her and that supporting his partner was the best way to show his love for her.
