'How to Get Away with Murder' star Karla Souza welcomes a baby girl

The 32-year-old actress, Karla Souza, announced on social media that she gave birth to her first child with husband, Marshall Trenkmann.

Souza, who is most famously known for her role as Laurel Castillo in the television show How To Get Away With Murder, welcomed their baby girl on April 19, 2018.

As reported by E Online, Souza's fans didn't know she was pregnant, and the first photo of her baby bump was only shared on Instagram on April 20, 2018.

She wrote in the caption: 'So I have something to share with your guys.' The post has since gone viral and received more than 500,000 likes and 5,300 comments.

She updated her fans via her Instagram stories, saying that past nine months was nothing short of a miracle. She also shared an ultrasound image and photos of her baby bump.

Immediately after the pregnancy announcement post, Souza shared a beautiful photograph of Gianna being cradled on her chest.

On one of her Instagram posts, a fan by the name of Viola Davis congratulated Karla. 'What a gift!' she added. Megan Symington said that motherhood 'looks great on' Souza.

A user known only as ST. Thompson said she only found out recently that she was pregnant, and sent best wishes to Souza and her family.

Souza and Trenkmann announced their engagement in 2013, and they exchanged vows the following year. Gianna is their only child.

Fans of Souza can look forward to her upcoming films. She is currently filming Jacob's Ladder, which will be released in 2019.

She was also cast as Collie in The Jesuit. Filming has been completed, and the movie will be released later this year. El Rey de Todo el Mundo is currently in pre-production.
