On April 22, 2018, she shared the photo with her 8.4 million Instagram followers. Hudson can be seen wearing a red bikini, and wrote in the caption: 'A different kind of beach bod brewing.'

As reported by Hollywood Life, Hudson is expecting her third child with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa. She is also mother to 14-year-old Ryder and 6-year-old Bingham.

Hudson only announced her pregnancy on April 6, 2018, when she shared footage of the gender-reveal party. She was trying to hide the pregnancy, albeit unsuccessfully.

'We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible, but I’m a popping now! [...] Frankly, hiding is more exhausting than just coming out with it!'

In the video, Hudson and her beau can be seen holding black balloons. Once popped, pink confetti erupts, and Hudson is clearly excited to be expecting a girl.

Hudson admitted that she was feeling ill during the first trimester, but that she was ready to face the world - and social media - again when she entered the second trimester.

Since announcing the pregnancy, the Almost Famous star made a public appearance when she officiated the opening ceremony of House of Harry Winston's second store in Hong Kong.

She wore a floor-length black dress with lace detail for the occasion and coupled it with black high heels, a diamante necklace, and earrings.

She also wore a new engagement ring, which, according to Hollywood Life, could 'point to wedding bells in the near future.' Neither Hudson nor Fujikawa confirmed the rumor.

Fans of Hudson can look forward to her upcoming film, Sister. The musical is currently in post-production and will be released later this year.
