Gibbs is popularly known for the role she played as George Jefferson's maid, ‘Florence Johnston’ in the CBS sitcom, ‘The Jeffersons'.

She received five nominations for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

She also starred in the show's spin-off ‘Checking In’ and the NBC sitcom, ‘227’.

Gibbs co-produced the latter series and played the lead role of Mary Jenkins, and was also the one who sang the theme song.

Marla is now 86 year old and has apparently succeeded in most aspects of her life, including parenting.

The proud mother had taken to Instagram some days ago to express her love for her one of her daughters on her birthday.

Angela Gibbs has apparently followed in her mother’s footsteps as she has also made a name for herself in the entertainment industry.

She is an established actress and producer and is also a great mother.

Marla had reposted a picture of Angela Gibbs on her page and had written a lengthy caption that betrayed just how much love she had for her daughter.

Marla had reposted the picture from Angela’s son, Amil Gibbs’s Instagram page and had equally added his caption beneath hers.

The picture featured Angela striking a pose and smiling for the camera looking just as pretty as her mother.
