New details emerge about how Harry and Meghan will spend the night before their wedding
Following tradition, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be in the same place on the night before their wedding.
The soon-to-be newlyweds will be staying at different, but equally lavish, hotels.
Markle will be spending the night with her mother, Doria Ragland, at the Cliveden House Hotel. It is approximately nine miles north of Windsor Castle.
As for Prince Harry, he will be staying at the Dorchester Collection's Coworth Park in Ascot and he will be accompanied by his best man, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge.
The Cliveden House, a privately owned stately home, is on the National Trust’s Cliveden Estate in Taplow.
The hotel has 34 bedrooms and nine suites. One suite is even named the Prince of Wales Suite.
The luxurious hotel was built in 1666 by the 2nd Duke of Buckingham. Cliveden House was meant as a gift to his mistress.
As for the place where Prince Harry will stay the night, Coworth Park resides 15 miles away from Cliveden House. It is about seven miles from Windsor.
The prince and the Duke of Cambridge are regular visitors of the hotel’s polo grounds. In 2017, Markle was even a spectator of one of the brothers’ polo matches.
Details of the schedules and timings of the royal wedding have also been revealed on the official website.
The wedding will take place at noon on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
After the ceremonies, the newlyweds will travel around Windsor in a horse-drawn carriage.
Following the carriage procession is an afternoon reception hosted by the Queen at St. George’s Hall.
In the evening, another reception, hosted by Prince Charles, will take place at Frogmore House consisting of Markle and Prince Harry’s close family and friends.
