Tiffany Haddish gets slammed after posing with white designer in recent pic
Tiffany Haddish was given no choice but to respond to questions after fans took offense when she posted a selfie with designer Michael Kors.
Tiffany Haddish sat alongside Michael Kors during the Tony Awards last Sunday, June 10, and fans quickly slammed the "Girls Trip" star for associating with someone who "is tired of pretending to like Blacks".
In 2015, a report by satirical news website NahaDaily claimed that Kors said he was tired of pretending to like "blacks". However, despite the article being proven to be satire, and completely false, people still took offense and the statement went viral.
"Just hanging with the Boys at my new favorite event @thetonyawards@michaelkors #weready #michaelkors#sheready #superfun"
Comments on Tiffany's Tony Awards selfie included statements like:
"I thought Michael Kors didn't like Black people???"
"[Instagram User] took the words right out my mouth.. was just about to say was this the same guy quoted saying he can't stand Black people and would rather they didn't wear his designs?! #FOH I wouldn't support him after that...."
Seeing the negativity in the comment section of her post, Tiffany felt the need to respond to her fans' concerns.
“From what I could see and feel that statement was not true. I actually think he loves all people. I got the vibe that he just wants the best for all and have a Good Time in the process.”
"I am on my way to the @thetonyawards with my new friend @michaelkors #sheready! Hairstlyist.@oscarjameshair Makeup by@makeupbydionne Styled by @luxurylawand #michalkors #thelastblackunicorn"
While Michael Kors and Tiffany Haddish seem extremely close, the two just recently met after Tiffany debuted a silver and black Michael Kors creation. Their Tony Awards appearance marks their first event together.
