Tika Sumpter is starring in a movie with Whoopi Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish and her excitement is overflowing. She recently shared a snap from their upcoming film ‘Nobody’s Fool’ and you could tell it’s going to be hilarious.

It was “absolute joy” for Sumpter to be a part of Tyler Perry’s latest directorial offering and she gave a sneak peek at the chemistry she and her co-stars have in a photo she recently posted on her Instagram. The on-screen trio were seated side by side and exchanging concerned glances with each other and it was all we needed to deem this film a must-see.

Set to be released in theaters on November 2, the new comedy centers on Haddish’s character Tanya, a wild child who had just been released from prison. As her post-prison life goes off the rails, she seeks the help of her sister Danica, played by Sumpter, who’s her total opposite. As their worlds collide, Tanya discovers Danica’s life is far from perfect, contrary to what she believed.

Describing her experience working on the set of the film also written and produced by Perry, Sumpter reveals

"It was so fun and exciting being part of a story about sisterhood, family dysfunction and love in a comedic atmosphere. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve had. To work with Tiffany [Haddish] and Whoopi [Goldberg] was an absolute joy. There were non-stop laughs on set and Tyler [Perry] provided an atmosphere of safety to try anything for our characters. It was pretty awesome, and I’m super grateful to be part of this film."

It’s a busy time for Sumpter who was also recently casted for the film version of ‘Sonic The Hedgehog.’ The actress is currently under negotiations to take on the female lead in the Paramount movie which also stars James Marden.

The film is based on the 1991 Sega game where a hedgehog named “Sonic” goes on a quest to defeat Doctor Robotnik, a scientist known for imprisoning animals in robots and stolen magical Chaos Emeralds.

The movie is set to be released in November 2019.
