Amal Clooney arrived at gala dinner in a crushed velvet gown
George Clooney’s wife, Amal, stepped out at a fancy gala in London wearing an elegant, velvet ensemble.
On June 16th, 40-year-old Amal looked glowing when she arrived at the WAAAUB UK Chapter Gala Dinner held at the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel.
The human rights lawyer stunned the crowd with her velvet gown designed by Alberta Ferretti. The stunning piece hugged her body from the waist and up, while it flowed into a modest train below the waistline.
She matched the dress with black court shoes and a silver clutch bag to complete the look.
As for jewelry, she exuded glamour with the pair of glitzy diamond earrings and diamond bracelet she was wearing.
Her dark hair was styled in gorgeous waves while her makeup highlighted her Lebanese-British features with the light burgundy shade of lipstick, metallic eyeshadow, and rosy cheeks.
The celebration was hosted by the WAAAUB UK Chapter, which is the alumni group of the American University of Beirut based in the United Kingdom.
Previously, Amal gave her husband a loving tribute through a speech she gave as the 57-year-old actor became this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Film Institute held at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater.
The human rights lawyer gushed about her husband and how amazing he is to her and as a father to their two children, one-year-old twins Ella and Alexander.
“He is the person who has my complete admiration and also the person whose smile makes me melt every time. My love, what I have found with you is the great love I always hoped existed,” said Amal.
She continued to say that seeing her husband with their two kids is the greatest joy in her life.
George was brought to tears in his wife’s words. The touching speech was just a day after they celebrated the twins’ first birthday.
