Toya first became a mother at 15-years-old, when she gave birth to Reginae Carter. She shares her with her ex-husband Lil Wayne, whom she met while at a corner store in Louisiana. A good six years later, they got married when Lil Wayne was achieving world-wide stardom. After two years of marriage however, Toya filed for divorce citing her inability to cope up with the lifestyle of being a famous rapper. His career was keeping him away from home for long periods of time, which made it hard for her to work on their relationship. Despite their separation, the two remain extremely good friends as they co-parent their daughter.

Now that Reginae is 19-years-old, she has been helping her mother raise Reign. It has been quite the responsibility, but she has been doing a great job.

When Toya became pregnant with her second child last year, the name of her baby daddy remained anonymous. It was only during the child's baby shower that she revealed that the baby's father was actually a man named Robert Rushing. He is a 30-year-old sports manager who she has been dating since 2016.

Now that they share a child, the two look completely in-love with one another, and are doing their best to raise their little girl in a healthy environment.
