Jessica Simpson shamed after posting new video of son with broken arm
The 37-year-old singer, fashion designer and mother-of-two, Jessica Simpson, received harsh criticism after she uploaded a video of her son to Instagram.
The video, shared with her 4.3 million followers on Monday, shows her husband Eric Johnson, flipping Ace, their 4-year-old son, in the swimming pool.
In the description field, Simpson wrote that 'a broken bone doesn't hold this kiddo down.' She added the hashtags 'waterproofcast,' and 'aceknute.'
As reported by Pop Sugar, Ace fractured his arm earlier this month. To learn more about her family, be sure to follow our official Twitter page, at AmoMama USA.
While the adorable video raked in more than 500,000 views, many of Simpson's followers took to the comment section and express their outrage.
Jennifer Gowin said it 'is the most ridiculous thing to be doing as a parent.' When Jennifer's daughter broke her arm, the teenager was not allowed to swim at all.
Brandi Noonan Negrón said she had no idea that it was possible to swim with a broken arm, and added that it probably isn't the best choice.
Not all the comments were from critics. Erica Lynn said it was a great photo and added that Johnson is a wonderful father. 'Memories to last a lifetime,' she replied.
A user known as Henry responded to Jennifer on the same post, saying she is insane. He asked if she wrapped her daughter in bubble wrap as well.
Jenn Jess said her 'boys would love to be thrown in the air like that,' while Andie Brummer said the video made her happy. She added that her daughter broke her arm the previous day.
Louise Hauge, who is an orthopedic nurse, said the toss was 'ok and totally healthy.' She added that Simpson and Johnson had a 'well-adjusted family' and told them to keep up the good work.
Simpson launched her line of workout clothing two years ago, called Warm Up, and plans to focus more of her spare time on expanding her brand.
