La La Anthony helps Lesandro Guzman-Feliz's sister overcome her grief
On the 20th of June 2018, the senseless murder of 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz shook the nation. The youth was attacked by members of a Dominican gang in broad daylight in front of store owners and passersby who witnessed the murder but did not intervene. Lesandro's brutal death was captured on CCTV video.
In the aftermath of the horror, Lesandro's sister missed her own high school graduation in order to attend her younger brother's funeral. What would have been a day of celebration and achievement was a day of sorrow and loss.
Best selling author and actress La La Anthony, who had expressed her outrage over Lesandro's murder visited his family's Bronx home and posted a photo to Instagram of herself and his sister, Genesis on the 2 of July 2018.
"Let’s go show her MAJOR love and support for graduating high school and being so strong during this time she’s one in a million!!" La La Anthony captioned the photo. "Love u Gen from the first time we met FOREVER IN MY HEART #justiceforjunior #postivevibesonly."
