Tichina Arnold shares video of teen daughter serenading their 'new baby' with her powerful vocals
Tichina Arnold shares a new video of her daughter who impresses once again with her powerful voice. The 14-year-old who often showcases her talent in her mother’s posts melts hearts in her latest clip serenading her nephew while cradling him in her arms.
Tichina Arnold is a great actress with a great voice. And she’s also a mother to a 14-year-old daughter with a powerful singing voice reminiscent of hers.
For months now, Tichina has been showcasing her daughter Alijah’s talent on her Instagram. The little lady can sing and even pen her own song. Three months ago, Tichina revealed this bit of information when she shared a clip of Alijah singing a song she wrote. It was the teen’s first attempt at songwriting and she called it “Poisonous Dreams.”
Tichina is proud of the fact that her daughter has great talent in music and isn’t afraid to be outshined by her. In fact, she once said,
“for those of you who say my daughter can sing better than me…of course, she can!”
In one video Tichina shared, mother and daughter matched in black hoodies as they sang together the song “If You Let Me” while riding the car. The morning number was their way of kicking off their #SummerMorningPlaylist Tichina revealed they were putting together. This would be the start of other singing videos the mother and daughter would share from their morning car rides.
Just recently, Tichina made sure music is passed on in her family when she encouraged Alijah to sing to her little nephew. Alijah cradled the tiny boy in her arms while her mom egged her to sing a tune for him. Alijah obliged and delivered a beautiful rendition of Ariana Grande’s “Almost Is Never Enough.”
“Making sure my baby serenades our new baby,” Tichina wrote and guessed her nephew enjoyed her daughter’s number.
“I think my nephew likes it. Lol! Enjoy. More to come.. @alijahkai.”
Alijah is Tichina’s only child born from her relationship with music producer Calvin Haggins. In 2012, she married former Golden State Warriors assistant coach DaRico Hines but after four years, they divorced. As a single mother, Tichina admitted she was first afraid of missing out on her career having to raise a child alone, but she learned to ask for help along the way despite her earlier hesitations to do so.
