Toya Wright's grown-up daughter steals hearts with rare photos with dad Lil Wayne on his birthday

Reginae Carter’s Instagram is filled with photos of her and her mom, reality star Toya Wright but the teenager made an exception today, posting a series of shots with her rapper dad, Lil Wayne. Last month, Reginae also had some sharp words for trolls bashing her dad.

In a birthday tribute to Wayne, Reginae shared photos from various stages of life with her father. The post includes throwback shots from when Wayne and Toya were still a couple, Reginae and Wayne at her graduation ceremony, the pair twinning in white, and many more.

An excited Reginae wished her dad a happy birthday and also raved about his new album “Carter V,” on which she’s featured:

“Happy birthday to yaaaa! Happy birthday to ya! I love you so much! It’s crazy it’s your birthday and you’re gifting the world on your day! ICONIC! I can’t wait till your fans finally hear C5! You’ve worked so hard and we’ve all waited so long and it’s finally here!! And plus, I’m on dat [expletive] love you so much! We’re about to turn up! Period [sic]”

Despite not having as many pictures with her dad as with her mom, Reginae has a very close relationship with Wayne. The budding singer once said in an interview:

“My dad’s a great dad. We have the best relationship. Being a celebrity kid definitely has its perks. Just walking in the house and seeing Drake or seeing Nicki [Minaj] is something that’s normal to me.”

Last month, it was also reported that Reginae defended her father against trolls after a photo of Wayne at 2 Chainz and Kesha Ward’s August wedding went viral.

The “Lollipop” rapper, 36, was spotted looking gaunt and disheveled, and while some fans showed genuine concern, most just poked fun at him.

Reginae, who is known for her blunt remarks on social media fired back at the trolls, saying: "Wayne don't give a damn what y'all got to say so save the comments. Thanks."

Lil Wayne and his ex-wife Toya Wright were high school sweethearts who welcomed Reginae at the ages of 16 and 15 respectively.

Sadly, after a Valentine wedding in 2004, the couple split in 2006. Wayne and Toya, however, remain friends and have been co-parenting successfully ever since.
