Whoopi Goldberg's grandson celebrates his 20th birthday in recent photos

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg’s grandson, Mason Dean, turned 20 on September 28 and the young man shared photos in celebration of the special day. His mother, Alex Martin-Dean, also shared a throwback photo to celebrate her son.

In one of the photos, Mason stood in a striped top and skinny black jeans with white sneakers. Beside him were golden birthday balloons.

In another shot, the birthday boy appeared in a silhouette, with a drink in hand. The final photo was a throwback shot. It showed a much-younger Mason in what seemed to be a superhero costume. Mason flaunted the fabric abs that were a part of the green and purple getup.

Mason’s mom and Goldberg’s daughter, Alex, also shared a photo to celebrate her last child. The former “According to Alex” reality star made a collage of one image where she cuddled an infant Mason, and another showing him grown with his chunky dreadlocks. Alex wrote:

“Happy 20th Birthday to @MasonDean #accordingtoalex #son #family.”

Although Grandma Whoopi didn’t do a social media shout-out, she has always been supportive of her only grandson. In February 2017, Goldberg shared a video of the budding singer on her Facebook page. “My Grandson Mason performing at An Evening of Hip-Hop. So proud!!!!” she wrote.

Asides Mason, The “Sisters’ Act” legend has two other grandchildren, Amarah Skye, and Jerzey Dean, and she’s as much of a doting grandma to them as well.

In 2014, Jerzey and Goldberg were seen out and about at the New York Fashion Show. The duo attended shows like Diane Von Furstenberg’s and Tracy Reese's and mingled with famous faces like supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Jerzey, who was attending her first ever fashion week, told the press “She has cool clothes. I like the oversized look.” Considering how often Goldberg is criticized for her odd style choices, Jerzey clearly has her grandma’s back.

The same year, Goldberg took to Instagram to gush over Amarah Skye who had just welcomed a daughter, making Goldberg a great-grandmother. In a hilarious video, Goldberg fed an infant Charlie Rose while admitting, “I'm a tad awkward it took me a minute been a LONG time!”

Goldberg, 62, has been married and divorced three times. Her first and longest marriage to the late Alvin Martin produced her only daughter, Alex.
