Sarah Ferguson's winged hat at Princess Eugenie's big wedding sparked hilarious memes

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, gave meme-makers a lot to work with when she attended her daughter's royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank on Friday. Many compared her to the "snitch" in Harry Potter.

Ferguson, 58, appeared at the St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle donned in an emerald dress designed by Emma Louise Design, a local Windsor company.

She accessorized with a vintage Manolo Blahnik bag that was used by her deceased mother Susan Barrantes for the Duchess' ceremonials with the Duke of York in 1986 according to Mirror.

But what stood out was Ferguson's bizarre hat. The hat's main color was emerald just like her dress. It featured a striped gold and green band around the brim.

Towards the back, the band appeared to extend outwards on either side in two wing-shaped protrusions.

Twitter users were quick to point out the similarity to the golden snitch in the fictional Quidditch game found in the J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter fantasy novel series.

According to Mirror, the hat was designed by Jess Collett. Other people compared the heart to the "Wonder Woman" logo as well as the "Star Wars" character Yoda.

Meanwhile, Ferguson reportedly helped her daughter extensively in the organization of the grand affair.

The ceremony is set to be followed by a lunch at Windsor Castle which will be hosted by Queen Elizabeth.

Finally, they are to go to the Royal Lodge for a black-tie evening reception.

Celebrations then extend into Saturday when a festival-style event will be accompanied by fairground and food stalls.

Regarding her personal preparation, the mother of two recently signed on with a new controversial diet plan from Italian dietician Gianluca Mech.

Ferguson, who carries the nickname Fergie, is known to go back and forth when it comes to diets. Before this one, she collaborated with Weight Watchers.

Ferguson remains self-determined in whatever she does, be it fashion or health endeavors.

Back in 2013, however, the Duchess of York was quick to leave an interview after she deemed some questions rude and refused to answer.

She spoke to Michael Usher on the show "60 Seconds." The setting was a field or horses and everything started out well.

But when Usher addressed a 2010 scandal that claimed Ferguson accepted a large sum of money to reveal secret information about Prince Andrew, things got bitter.

Ferguson admitted that she did take money, but said that she immediately returned it. Usher inquired about the timing, asking if it was after the scandal broke.

Following that, Ferguson demanded that that portion of the interview be deleted.

Afterward, she became distant and said she needed to step out for some fresh air.
