Jennifer Lopez shares adorable photos of family decorating their home
Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, and their respective kids are already feeling the Christmas spirit, as they trimmed their tree showing off their incredible teamwork. Lopez recently opened up about blending her and Rodriguez’s families, as she reveals if there are wedding plans on sight for them.
It’s officially Christmas in the Lopez-Rodriguez household after the family decorated their Miami home with a giant tree that reaches the high ceilings of the luxurious house.
J-Lo captured photos of the sweet family time as her kids, twins Max and Emme, 10, and Alex’s daughters, Ella, 10 and Natasha, 14, came together to put up the garments on the tree with the help of a ladder.
Lopez and Rodriguez also did their fair share of decorating, and they kept it casual while doing so. Jennifer rocked a green cropped sweatshirt and patterned leggings, while Alex went for Adidas sweatpants and a zipped grey hoodie.
The final result was a gorgeous looking tree with red roses, white lights, and red and white garments. On the top, the family put a simple golden star. “That time of year…” Lopez captioned one of the pictures shared to Instagram, and added in another, “The best times are with these lil ones… #ilovechristmastime #familia.”
BLENDING THEIR FAMILIES
This is the second Christmas that Lopez and Rodriguez spend together since they started dating in early 2017. And this time around, the kids are probably more comfortable around each other and their parents’ significant other.
Talking to People on their most recent issue, Lopez revealed that from the beginning of their relationship, it was important for Alex and her that their kids felt comfortable and included in the dynamic.
Jennifer shares Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez’s daughters are from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis.
For the delight of the couple, the kids had no problem becoming friends. “Kids are so beautiful and open to love and new friends,” Lopez stated, and continued:
“I was so loving to his kids, and he was so loving and accepting of mine, and they embraced each other right away. [It was] ‘I get a new bonus brother and sisters to hang out with all the time, and it’s nice.'”
“We couldn’t have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do,” Rodriguez agreed.
LIFE IS NOT A FAIRYTALE
Having a blended family two years into the relationship, and displaying their love for each other so openly, is only natural for fans to be rooting for a marriage proposal to take place soon. But Lopez recently hinted that fans would have to wait a bit longer for that to happen.
The “Second Act” star told USA Today that she understands why people want to see a wedding happen. Everyone loves a fairytale and J-Rod’s story has been nothing short of one. However, the couple’s life “it’s not a movie, even if you see us on Instagram or the shows," she said.
“We’re happy. We’re taking it day-by-day. And it’s great,” Jennifer stated, brushing off, for now, all the engagement and wedding rumors surrounding her.
“2018 has really moved us to place where we feel like a real family. That's nice. And it's good enough right now,” the 49-year-old concluded.
