Matthew Gray Gubler spends Christmas with mom and shares a sweet photo with her
The 38-year-old actor Matthew Gray Gubler celebrated the Christmas season with his mother Marilyn Gubler and posted a sweet snap with her on Twitter.
Matthew, who is best known for his role as criminal profiler Dr. Spencer Reid in the CBS TV program "Criminal Minds," rarely shows his parents on social media. However, for extraordinary occasions, he doesn't forget to send them a heartfelt message.
Much the same as his character, Dr. Spencer Reid, on "Criminal Minds," Matthew also grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.
CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS WITH SUCH JOY
Matthew is very close to his family, so it's no longer a question who he spent Christmas with.
Recently, the actor took to Twitter to share two photos of himself and his mother Marilyn, who is a rancher, political consultant, and former chair of the Nevada Republican Party.
"Merry Christmas Eve from me and my beautiful mom!" he captioned the images, which already amassed over 2,930 retweets and over 41,200 likes.
A lot of fans around the world can't stop gushing over him and his delightful mother as well.
One user wrote: "(You) look so good. (Your) mom is so pretty."
"Aww, you're both so adorable! Merry Christmas!" added another.
"Tell your mom her glasses are awesome!" commented another user.
FATHER'S DAY GREETINGS
On June 18, Matthew also took to Twitter to greet his father John Gubler, who is an attorney.
Alongside a photograph of himself and his dad, the actor wrote: "Happy father’s day to my dad/hair stylist."
MATTHEW'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Much the same as his character, Dr. Spencer Reid, on "Criminal Minds," Matthew also grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He graduated from the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts and attended UC Santa Cruz.
Matthew then moved to New York to pursue film directing at the Tisch School of Arts at NYU.
While studying, he was scouted and has modeled for many top designers.
Matthew also has some movie credits in addition to "Criminal Minds," which has had two spin-offs: "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders."
He has appeared in "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," "(500) Days of Summer," "Life After Beth," "Suburban Gothic," and "Newness."
