Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus and his girlfriend are expecting their first child

Snoop Dogg is set to become a grandfather for the third time. The rapper’s second son and his girlfriend just announced that they’re expecting their first child.

Cordell Broadus, 21, and his girlfriend Phia Barragan announced yesterday on social media that they’re expecting their first child together, a baby girl.

Phia took to Instagram with a picture of her bump and penned a heartwarming note to her unborn child in the caption of her now-deleted post:

“I’ve loved you before I knew you. You were a dream that came to life. Life will be challenging but I promise to be there to hold your hand as long as I live. You are everything and more to me. I love you so much already baby girl. See you real soon.”

Cordell also gave a shout-out to their expected bundle of joy. The football player-turned-actor shared a photo of Phia’s bump on his Instagram stories and only wrote: “Isssa Gurl.”

Cordell and Phia’s child will be Snoop’s third grandchild and second granddaughter. The “Gin & Juice” hitmaker’s first son, Corde, gave him his first grandchild in January 2015.

Corde, now 24, welcomed his son, Zion, with his then-girlfriend, Jessica Kyzer. A proud Snoop could not wait to share his new status with the world.

“Proud grandad,” he announced, alongside an Instagram video of Corde holding baby Zion. “My son spank n grandson Zion!! Jah bless.”

His wife, Shante Broadus, is just as proud of being a grandma as Snoop and her Instagram page is enough evidence.

Last August, Corde welcomed his second child, a daughter named Eleven, with his current girlfriend, Soraya.

Corde announced the birth with a breastfeeding photo of mother and child and gushed about his girlfriend having an all-natural birth procedure.

“Today my daughter, 11, was born. @sorayaspanish did an all natural birth with no Epiduro or drugs from beginning to end,” he wrote.

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, also made sure to introduce his first granddaughter to the world. He posted a video of the newborn on Instagram and wrote:

“My 1st granddaughter lovely day be blessed Y’all.”

Only last month, the 47-year-old shared a video of Shante holding Eleven during their flight to Hawaii for a family vacation.

During a 2015 interview, Snoop confessed that he’s a “gullible, get-away-with-everything kind of grandpa,” and now he has one more on the way to practice that with.
