Jennifer Lopez is celebrating her two-year anniversary with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. This relationship has officially lasted longer than her first two marriages.
Jennifer Lopez stunned the crowd during the 2017 Met Gala. She wore a high-necked baby blue Valentino cape gown that gave her feminine feel and accessorized with Harry Winston diamond hoop earrings.
The best complement to her look was the handsome Latino by her side, who cut a dashing figure in a classic Tom Ford tuxedo. As they walked the length of the carpet together, Jennifer and former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez made their official debut as a couple, and have been together since.
Alex was previously dating Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki after spending nearly a year together. Meanwhile, Jennifer ended things with rapper Drake, though it was never an official relationship.
Two years later on their anniversary, Jennifer shared a series of photos that showed Alex throughout their relationship. “Two years of laughter / Two years of fun / Two years of adventures / Of excitement of growing and learning / Of true friendship / And so much love!!” wrote the singer.
One of the photos featured the couple and their blended family in coordinated outfits during the holiday season. The “Waiting For Tonight” singer shares twins Max and Emme, 10, with her 3rd ex-husband, Latin pop star Marc Anthony. Alex has two children, daughters Natasha, 13, and Ella, 9, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
Bringing together four children to make a blended family is not easy, but Jennifer and Alex seem to have found the perfect formula. “I was so loving to his kids and he was so loving and accepting of mine, they embraced each other right away. [It was] ‘I get a new bonus brother and sisters to hang out with all the time and it’s nice,’” Jennifer told People magazine.
In October of last year, Jennifer sparked engagement rumors when flashed a massive diamond ring while at a baseball game with Alex.
In the clip, Alex tests Jennifer’s knowledge of baseball lingo and asks her, “Jennifer, what’s the sign?” Lopez does not disappoint as she demonstrates the elaborate hand signals that signify a hit and run.
However, in a later appearance on “The Ellen Show”, Lopez revealed that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to get married again. “So, you’ll be getting married?” Ellen asked Jennifer. “I don’t know,” she replied. “We’ve been together a couple [of[ years. It’s nice.”
Jennifer’s hesitation is understandable, as this would be her fourth trip down the aisle.
In 1997, Jennifer married waiter Ojani Noa, reveals Paper magazine. Their marriage only lasted 11 months and they got divorced in January 1998. While their break-up was friendly, problems arose when Jennifer decided to hire Noa to manage her new Cuban restaurant. 6 months later she let him go and Noa, in a bid to get revenge, tried selling their sex tape. The case is still in court.
The singer’s second marriage was to former backup dancer Cris Judd. From September 29, 2001, to June 2002, the two were man and wife. “You know it’s very tough,” Judd told Us Weekly as he talked about the scrutiny that comes with being married to a celebrity. “Your privacy is breached. You’re no longer a normal person,” he confessed. Judd was discreet enough not to disclose what broke their brief marriage, only saying that “it just didn’t work out”.
Husband number 3 was singer Marc Anthony, and they were together for seven years before their marriage ended. “I knew very quickly it wasn’t the right thing,” Jennifer shared with W magazine. “I hung in there for seven years.”
Jennifer has had her fair share of husbands and boyfriends but one thing has stayed the same – her incredible body.
The singer turned 49 in July of last year and she took her birthday celebration to the beach. In one photo the “Second Act” actress is surrounded by her friends and family as they hold up bottles of what appears to be champagne. What stands out, however, is Jennifer’s abs as she highlights her curves in a tiny black bikini.
Jennifer’s age-defying body can be attributed to her diet and exercise. The couple recently completed a 10-day no sugar, no carb challenge. Once it was over, the actress told the Today show that she didn’t crave the foods she skipped on the challenge and would get full on very little.
Here’s hoping that Jennifer and Alex actually go the distance.
