Andy Cohen shamed for letting his newborn son fly as he shares a photo from the plane with fans
Television personality Andy Cohen was criticized for his error after he was photographed carrying his newborn on a private plane.
The host of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” took his son on a plane during one of his travels, when the baby was only four days of age.
Cohen took to Instagram to share a photograph of him posing with his newly arrived baby placed in a baby carrier.
The photograph sees Cohen standing with a big smile as he carries his first child, Benjamin Allen Cohen, who was born on February 4 via surrogate in Los Angeles.
The Instagram post, which he captioned, “Digging the #DadGear!” has been viewed more than 500,000 times and is popular on social media.
Following his post, Cohen was shamed on the internet by social media users. Several “dad-shamers” pointed out about the medical risks that the baby may become prone to because of the flight travel.
One Instagram user commented that Cohen was not carrying the newborn in a proper manner claiming that he had ‘a lot to learn’ as a new dad.
Another user argued that the baby that young is supposed to be ‘bundle wrapped.’ The same user also argued that sometimes money is not enough to give one’s child proper care, one must also know ‘proper things’ that should be carried out for their safety.
Meanwhile, some Instagram users also supported Cohen and backed him up by writing, “It is ok to fly with a newborn as long as it’s medically cleared.”
The 50-year-old star announced the birth of his baby through another Instagram post a few days back. The photo sees young Benjamin cuddled up in a Peanuts-themed onesie and a cozy-looking, green blanket.
The adorable photograph also sees the young guy holding on to an adult’s finger, symbolizing growth.
