Kelly Clarkson Brings 2 Kansas Officers on Stage, and They Sing like They Just Won ‘The Voice’

At least two police officers responded to a situation in Sprint Center, Kansas City. But it was a good situation – they joined music superstar Kelly Clarkson on stage.

Highway patrol officers LaMont Jackson and Mike Pagel from Kansas Capitol Police showcased their talent before the crowd during Clarkson's "A minute and a Glass of Wine" tour on February 7, 2019, as shown in a Facebook video the singer uploaded.

After showing a video clip to the audience, The “Since You’ve Been Gone” singer called the police officers, who were in their usual uniform, on stage.

The American Idol alumna had seen the recent viral video of Jackson and Pagel doing a #PoliceCarKaraoke last Spring and thought of inviting them over to her show.

"This is awesome, when I saw this video, I fell in love with them," Clarkson said in a Facebook live video.

Both police officers sang a song from the '60s, which was unfamiliar to Clarkson.

"Most of the videos are of cops lip-synching, not these two, they're keeping it real and keeping it live," Clarkson added.

Clarkson’s tour is also an online show. It is her way of reaching out to those who could not watch her concerts live, especially those living outside the US.

After showing a video clip to the audience, The “Since You’ve Been Gone” singer called the police officers, who were in their usual uniform, on stage.

Jackson and Pagel then sang "Stand By Me" by Ben King. The crowd cheered and sang along.

Clarkson, while holding her wine glass on the background, later sang with the talented police officers.

Their performance earned a standing ovation from the audience and applauded them.

Jackson shared that the police department received a call from one of Clarkson's promoters, who said she was interested in talking with him.

At first, Pagel thought it was a joke. But to his surprise, it was not a prank. Sharing a stage with a music wonder was a dream-come-true for them.

Clarkson appreciated the police officer’s love for singing and their huge contribution to keeping the city safe and in order.

Though he felt nervous during the show, Pagel said it was a beautiful experience for him and Jackson.

"It's not a secret anymore. Words can't even explain how much fun Officers Jackson and Pagel had last night at the Sprint Center #Wow", the KCP wrote on their Facebook page.

Both are thankful to Clarkson for giving them the opportunity to sing in front of 15,000 people.
