Luke Perry's Representative Reveals Latest Update on His Condition after Being Rushed to Emergency

Luke Perry, the former star of "Beverly Hills 90210," has recently suffered a massive stroke and his representative has come to public to comment on his health condition.

On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, the 52-year-old actor, who plays the role of Fred Andres on "Riverdale," was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

It has been shared that Perry was at his Sherman Oaks home when he suffered the stroke at around 9:40 a.m., and, according to his representative, he is currently sedated.

NOT IN A COMA

It was previously reported that an anonymous source connected to Perry said the actor had been placed in a medically induced coma due to the severity of the stroke.

Perry's medical crisis took place on the same day Fox announced that "Beverly Hills 90210" would revived, but, so far, Perry doesn't seem to be connected to the project.

THE RETURN OF THE SHOW'S ALL-TIME FAVORITES

The show was highly popular in the 90s and the series helped Perry reach stardom as Dylan McKay, one of the major bad boys at the time who drove female viewers wild whenever he appeared on camera.

But although Perry is yet to be linked to the revival, it is believed that former co-stars Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris will be a part of the new show.

Following the news of the massive stroke suffered by Perry, Ziering was one of the celebrities who rushed to social media and expressed their feelings towards the actor.

Ziering, who is best known for his role as Steve Sanders on "Beverly Hills 90210," took to his official Instagram page to post a photo of himself with Perry, asking everyone to "say a prayer for his speedy recovery."

Shannen Doherty also posted a photo of herself with Perry, in which he can be seen hugging her. As a caption, Doherty, who has been battling breast cancer, wrote "My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength. You got this."
